About the Baby Merlin's Microfleece Magic Sleepsuit

The Baby Merlin's Microfleece Magic Sleepsuit is the original swaddle transition product created by a Pediatric PT and mom of 4. This Microfleece Sleepsuit is ideal for babies with a strong startle reflex, as it helps them feel secure in the comfort of the cozy microfleece fabric.

The Magic Sleepsuit aids in a baby's sleep patterns and provides parents peace of mind that their little one is getting adequate rest necessary for proper growth and development. It should be introduced at approximately three months of age when babies are transitioning from the swaddle or smaller sleep space.

Proper fit and timing of introduction are critical to the safety and effectiveness of the Magic Sleepsuit. When the Magic Sleepsuit fits properly, the scooped neck will lay flat on the baby's chest, away from the face, and the baby should not have the ability to pull their arms and/or legs inside the Sleepsuit. If the Sleepsuit is too big, it will not provide the cozy, secure feeling necessary for success.

The Magic Sleepsuit is designed to be used for sleeping in a bare crib, with the room at the recommended temperature for babies. It should not be used for co-sleeping or with any sleep positioners. Babies should be transitioned out of the Magic Sleepsuit when they are attempting to roll or are rolling over while wearing it.

The Baby Merlin's Magic Sleepsuit has a soft jersey cotton inner layer, a soft breathable microfleece outer layer, and a layer of polyfill in between for just enough comfort.

Dream Sack and Dream Sack Walker

Once your baby begins to roll in the Magic Sleepsuit, they are showing signs that they are developmentally ready for more freedom of movement and independence in their sleep. It's then time to move to the next phase of the Sleep System, the Dream Sack.

The Dream Sack is a wearable blanket made from the same fabrics as the Magic Sleepsuit for a consistent sleep environment. As your little one gets older and even more mobile, we recommend making the transition into the Dream Sack Walker, which is designed with foot openings to allow babies more mobility during wake time.

The Magic Sleepsuit, Dream Sack, and Dream Sack Walker are available in a variety of colors and sizes to accommodate babies from 3 to 18 months old and weights from 12 to 28 lbs. They are made of either 100% cotton or microfleece.
